According to a source cited by the tabloid, this marks "at least the third time" Melania has renegotiated her postnuptial agreement with the former president.
The source stated, "Melania is most concerned about maintaining and increasing a substantial trust for their son, Barron," as she aimed to secure "a specific minimum amount" for the 6' 7" teenager.
Sources also indicated that Melania sought to obtain more financial assets and property through the postnup.
The necessity for a new agreement was attributed to the ongoing legal battles and their impact on Trump's wealth. Despite receiving some liberal sympathy during Trump's political career, it's worth noting that Melania has, according to various reports, actively supported Trump's presidency.
Additionally, she has endorsed controversial political views, including promoting racist birther conspiracy theories concerning former President Obama. Kristyn Burtt of SheKnows also reported that the renegotiation of the postnup was a shrewd legal move by the former Slovenian model.
