Mercedes To Recall 1M Older Models Worldwide

According to Reuters' Joern Poltz, Mercedes-Benz is recalling over a million older cars from around the world owing to suspected brake booster difficulties.

It affects models from the ML, GL (BR 164), and R-Class (BR 251) series built between 2004 and 2015. Some 70,000 in Germany.
"We have found that in some of those vehicles, the function of the brake booster could be affected by advanced corrosion in the joint area of the housing," Mercedes-Benz said in a statement.
It warned that this could result in a higher brake pedal force required to slow the vehicle and/or a longer stopping distance. Mercedes-Benz has begun the recall process right away.
