In its disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), MRSGI highlighted that its service to the diverse communities in Cebu is reinforced with the addition of Metro Supermarket in Barangay Tayud, alongside Metro Value Mart locations in Barangay Poblacion and Barangay Tangke.

MRSGI also extends its reach to Leyte with the groundbreaking of Metro Supermarket in Barangay Marvel, Isabel.

Benedicto C.T. Miranda, Vice President of Store Network Development of MRSGI, emphasized that investing in these communities is not just about business.

"It's about creating lasting relationships and making a positive difference in people's lives. We are excited to embark on this journey with the residents of Cebu and Leyte, and we are committed to being a trusted partner in their journey towards progress and prosperity," he underscored.

These expansions signify MRSGI's commitment to serving diverse communities across the Visayas region, enriching local economies, and fostering connections with residents, Miranda added.

He noted that MRSGI currently operates a network of 64 stores throughout the Philippines, with 42 branches located in the Visayas, offering various formats including Metro Supermarket, Metro Department Store, Super Metro Hypermarket, and Metro Value Mart.

Miranda stressed the importance of community partnership and the company's commitment to providing quality goods and services to residents.

"These new establishments mark the beginning of a new chapter for these communities. Our partnership with the local governments and the active participation of residents underscores our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the people of Cebu and Leyte," he said.

MRSGI revealed that it is also actively seeking opportunities to expand its presence in Luzon, to provide quality products and services, and to serve more communities across the country.
