This marks the closure of one of the most expensive tech acquisitions in history, with potential repercussions for the video game industry, The Associated Press (AP) reported.
The confirmation that the deal has been completed arrived seven hours after Microsoft received the final approval from Britain's competition watchdog.
The watchdog reversed its previous decision to block the $69 billion gaming deal, removing the last obstacle to the transaction.
The nearly two-year duration to complete the deal reflects concerns raised by competitors and government regulators, who feared that Microsoft's expanding portfolio of games could stifle competition.
