More French Caesar Howitzers Beef Up Ukrainian Arsenal

French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna has stated that at least six French Caesar howitzers are en route to Ukraine, bringing the total number of artillery to 18, according to 20 Minutes.

John Kirby, chief of strategic communications at the US National Security Council, told the Ukrainian newspaper Yevropeiska Pravda that the White House is anticipated to unveil a new package of military aid to Ukraine this week.
Kyiv Independent said that Kirby stressed that the fresh aid shipment will include additional HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and additional rocket launcher and artillery ammunition.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Ukraine’s military is having trouble getting western weapons operational at the frontlines, citing a lack of commonalities across weapons. The provision of various weapon types has apparently become a "logistical nightmare" due to the fact that ammunition, training, maintenance, and logistics vary per weapon type.
The Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine has reported that Kyiv has received the 45 bodies of fallen Ukrainian servicemen.
Russia has lost 38,550 personnel in Ukraine since February 24th, according to the General Staff. Russia had also lost 1,691 tanks, 3,892 armored fighting vehicles, 851 artillery systems, 248 multiple launch rocket systems, 113 defensive systems, 188 helicopters, 220 aircraft, 690 unmanned aerial vehicles, and 15 ships.
