Benjamin Netanyahu said recently that he had undergone treatment for prostate cancer, marking his first public acknowledgment of the condition.

The Israeli leader said he had prostate surgery about a year and a half ago.
He added that doctors discovered and treated a small tumor with radiation therapy at Hadassah Medical Center around two and a half months ago, though the development was not disclosed at the time.
“I requested to delay its publication by two months so that it would not be released at the height of the war,” Netanyahu said, referring to tensions involving Iran.
He described the tumor as a “minor medical issue” and said he is currently in good health.
Aharon Popovtser, director of the hospital’s oncology unit, said the cancer was detected at an early stage and that follow-up tests indicate no remaining disease.
Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, has previously faced criticism over delayed disclosures about his health.
