The footage, obtained by CBS News reporter Jonah Kaplan, shows Iranian drones striking the base and the resulting explosions and damage.

The news organization said it authenticated the videos using embedded metadata and comparisons with other photographs of the installation.

Camp Buehring has served for more than two decades as a staging area for U.S. forces deploying across the Middle East. According to CBS News, attacks continued to threaten the installation after the war began, with some strikes reportedly originating from Iraq.

The report also described ammunition shortages and the movement of American personnel away from vulnerable positions.

A service member interviewed by CBS News said U.S. forces had been hit hard during the attacks.

The footage offers a closer look at the challenges faced by American troops at regional bases during the early months of the conflict. Some details about individual incidents and equipment shortages remain based on witness accounts and information provided to CBS News.
