Despite being considered a more sustainable approach to food production, organic farming may inadvertently lead to increased pesticide use in surrounding non-organic fields, the Associated Foreign Press (AFP) reported.

Lead author Ashley Larsen from the University of California, Santa Barbara, emphasized the importance of understanding how organic agriculture impacts the environment.



Erik Lichtenberg, an agricultural economist at the University of Maryland, noted that while the study presents a convincing case, more research is needed to determine the best practices for integrating organic and conventional farming methods.
