Negotiations between the European Commission and the Chinese government have yet to resolve a dispute over battery electric vehicles (BEVs), Euronews reported.

The EU has accused China of subsidizing BEVs to drive down prices and outcompete European automakers.
The European Commission is proposing new tariffs, ranging from 7.8% to 35.3%, on Chinese-made BEVs, including those produced by Western companies in China. Both sides have vowed to continue discussions, aiming for a solution that complies with World Trade Organization (WTO) rules.
