Nvidia Corp. is entering the personal computer market with a new processor designed to challenge Intel and AMD while advancing AI-powered computing, Ian King and Vlad Savov reported for Bloomberg News.

Beginning this fall, Nvidia’s RTX Spark Superchip will debut in laptops and desktop computers from manufacturers including Dell Technologies and Lenovo, Chief Executive Jensen Huang announced at the Computex trade show in Taipei.
The chip combines central processing and graphics capabilities and was developed in partnership with Taiwan-based MediaTek. It will run Microsoft’s Windows for Arm operating system.
Nvidia, already dominant in AI data centers, is making another push into PC processors after earlier attempts more than a decade ago failed to gain traction.
The company said premium laptops powered by RTX Spark will aim to deliver stronger AI performance while addressing limitations of existing PC hardware.
