Speaking during the 125th anniversary of the First Philippine Republic in Barasoain Church in Malolos City, Bulacan, President Marcos emphasized the unconquerable nature of the territory defended by the nation's forefathers.

He highlighted that the wars Filipinos fight today involve combating poverty, hunger, and disease, requiring new weapons such as building better farms, hospitals, and schools, ensuring equal treatment before the law, and working towards national unity.
The First Philippine Republic was established in Malolos, Bulacan, during the Philippine Revolution against Spanish colonizers, succeeding the Revolutionary Government of the Philippines in 1899.
