Looking at the bigger picture, it shows that the market for plant-based food is growing, starting with burgers and now it's hitting chocolate bars.
TCHO wants to make its entire portfolio dairy-free by 2023. The company uses oat milk, cashew butter and coconut sugar to mimic the taste and creaminess of milk chocolate, TCHO's chief chocolate maker Brad Kintzer told Retail Brew.
Kintzer said the company is moving away from animal products to reduce its carbon footprint.
