Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has criticized the European Union (EU) sanctions against Russia as a “weak vaccine,” explaining that some of them even accelerated certain economic processes in Russia, the media outlet European Truth reported.

Morawiecki issued the statement after a meeting with his Belgian counterpart Alexander De Kroo.

"The sanctions acted as a very weak vaccine. At this stage, they not only did not stop Putin's military machine but also to some extent intensified certain economic activities taking place in Russia," Morawiecki said.

"There should be no neutral sentiment on the battlefield between good and evil. We must convey to everyone around us who still have doubts that there is nothing to agree on with such a brutal regime as the fascist regime in Moscow," he explained.

Morawiecki called for tougher sanctions to force Moscow to change its position. "The costs for Russia, which started this war, should be as high as possible," said the Belgian prime minister.

He said EU is dealing with “amazing propaganda from the other side.” With propaganda that speaks of the denazification of Ukraine, which in the mouths of Kremlin propagandists directly resembles the worst German fascist traditions, the EU should slap Russia with the toughest sanctions in the history of mankind.
