Poland Ready To Deliver F-16 Fighters To Ukraine

Poland is ready to provide Ukraine with long-requested F-16 fighter jets in coordination with NATO, President's Office head Andrii Yermak said.

French President Emmanuel Macron also does not rule out sending fighter jets like the Rafale to Kyiv, Ukraine Daily reported but added several conditions must be met before the French government ships warplanes to Ukraine.

Kyiv is also poised to request the Swedish government to provide it with its Gripen fighters, which have intercepted Russian warplanes flying all over the Arctic.

On the other hand, US President Joe Biden said on Jan. 30 that he wouldn't send US fighter jets to Ukraine, even though the US is ramping up military assistance in the form of artillery and tanks and have trained Ukrainian pilots in handling A-10 Warthog tank-killing planes, CNN reported.

The US Transportation Command (USTC) is delivering more than 60 Bradley fighting vehicles to Ukraine and has shipped out the first batch from North Charleston, South Carolina last week.

USTC told the Associated Press (AP) and Reuters that the Bradleys are part of the $2.85 billion military aid agreement announced by the US earlier this year.
