Pavel Prigozhin, aged 25, is said to be negotiating with Rosgvardia, the Russian National Guard, regarding Wagner's potential return to combat in Ukraine.
This development follows the absence of a clear unified leader within the Wagner Group after Yevgeny Prigozhin's death.
The move comes amid some negative reactions within Wagner group elements to former Wagner Group commander Andrey Troshev, who currently works for the Ministry of Defense.
