Prominent Evangelical leaders and organizations in the United States have been silent since Friday on the biggest news story in Israel: an interview with former US President Donald Trump in which he strongly attacked former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Reporting for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Amir Tibon noted that Trump was aghast after finding out that Netanyahu had congratulated US President Joe Biden for shellacking Trump in the November 2020 election, telling the ousted Israeli prime minister “Fuck you.”
Take for example Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the largest pro-Israeli Evangelical organization, representing millions of Israel-loving Christians.
Besides producing an annual conference that attracts thousands of supporters and holding nights in honor of Israel at megachurches, CUFI also brings important news updates from Israel to its millions of members and supporters across the US, trying to reflect to them the conversation in the country they pray for on a daily basis.
Trump, who lost by 7.5 million votes to Biden, wants total loyalty from his underlings and even foreign allies like Netanyahu, who had distanced himself from his fellow loser Trump.
The defeated US president had lost more than 60 lawsuits challenging the results of the election and had been admonished by judges to produce evidence to support his claim or they would throw his cases into the trash bin.
