The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index today rose a bit, posting a gain of 39.86 points or 0.57 percent with just one of the sub-indexes posting a loss in another subdued trading as the initial market euphoria for a bullish sentiment quieted down on the back of lack of snappy news to reinvigorate the market.

Jollibee Foods and Ayala Land, the second and third most active stock with respective trades of P326 million and P291 million, were two of the four losers in the top 20 most active stocks showing the still-murky trend in the local market that signifies the mixed sentiments over the listed shares.
