PSE Up Some More

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index went up some more buckling the sell downs in four sub-indices as optimism on the economy subsists closing 48.50 points or 0.64 percent higher to 7,266.31 points.

Opening 17 points higher from its Monday close, the market immediately picked up steam surging to a high of 7,289.97 points before profit-taking took shape resulting in declines in financials by 0.72 points, services by 0.45 percent, mining and oil by 0.31 percent, and property by 0.65 percent.
The industrials rose by 1.26 percent and the holding firms went up by 2.11 percent to offset the declines in the four other indices. Value turnover amounted to P8.53 billion with advancers ahead of decliners 105 to 90 with 51 shares unchanged.
Market bellwether SM Investments gained p38 to P1,008 with trades of p256 million, while Monde declined some more by 6 centavos to p15.14 as it emerged the most active with trades of p1.12 billion.
Converge and AC Energy posted gains of 10.71 percent and 10 percent, respectively to p31, up by P3 and p11.88.up by P1.08. Bank of Pi was down by 20 centavos to p85.80 while BDO Unibank was lower by p1.20 to p131.80. Semirara lost 55 centavos to p28.25 while gt cap was unchanged at p578.
