PT&T To Expand Broadband Biz

Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Corp ( PT&T) has confirmed to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), the company's expansion plans especially in the area of broadband in Metro Manila and Calabarzon.

Accordingly, the company is setting up a debt and equity fundraising for this planned entry in the broadband field where it is at present operating targetting 7 million broadband customers.

The amount to be raised will be earmarked for the first phase of expanding PT&T’s existing coverage area. and the total amount to be raised for the implementation of its ultimate goal of having a nationwide operation is yet to be firmed up.

PT&T also said that it will be conducting an investor roadshow in the first quarter of 2022 to gauge how much will it be able to raise for the broadband business.

‘The company said it is expanding its network not just in Metro Manila but in Calabarzon,’ referring to the provinces of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, and Rizal.
