Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit Turkey next month for the inauguration of the Russian-built Akkuyu nuclear power plant, Anadolu Agency reports, quoting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Nikkei Asia reported.

The last time the two leaders prior to the Ukraine invasion was in September 2021, when they tackled energy issues in Sochi.

The situation has become complicated for Putin as the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued a warrant against him for kidnapping Ukrainian children and committing war crimes.
