Held at the luxurious Shangri-La The Fort in the heart of Bonifacio Global City, Manila, the summit brought together luminaries and innovators from the country's finance industry for insightful discussions on pioneering innovations.
Notable speakers at the summit included representatives from UnionBank, Sunline, Akulaku, AdvanceAI, Seclron, TrustDecision, and Wiz.AI, all of whom emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in the evolving financial landscape.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from Sylvia Wang, CEO of Huawei Cloud Philippines, who underscored the pivotal role of digital transformation in reshaping finance.
Wang pointed out that the financial industry often leads in adopting advanced technologies, making it crucial for stakeholders, from business leaders to financial institutions, to explore digital solutions.
Wang reiterated Huawei Cloud's commitment to the Philippines' financial sector, disclosing plans to establish local availability zones.

Remarkable APAC Growth
Huawei Cloud's remarkable growth in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region was highlighted by Zeng Xingyun, President of Huawei Cloud APAC.
With an 86% revenue increase over the past four years and a 170% revenue boost in financial markets last year, Huawei Cloud is fast becoming the preferred cloud provider in APAC.
In his keynote speech, Wu Shiwei, CTO at Huawei Cloud APAC, explained the significance of adopting cloud-native infrastructure in the financial sector. Cloud-native systems provide quicker access to cutting-edge innovations, giving cloud-integrated enterprises a competitive edge.
Huawei Cloud's commitment to providing robust support was reiterated by its 14 Availability Zones (AZs) and a growing customer base. This dedication to customer-centric service was mirrored in Huawei Cloud's financial growth, with prominent clients like SCB, KTB, and KTC Bank in Thailand, and GLDB Bank and APEX in Singapore.
The summit also explored the convergence of data and AI in financial decision-making, led by Huawei's Chief Digital Transformation Officer of Global Digital Finance, K.T. Chen.
