Reuters reported that the State Duma of Russia addressed a series of legislative measures during an extraordinary session on Friday, July 15, 2022.

The purpose of the proposal is to mitigate the effects of the "deteriorating economic situation," according to an explanation attached to the bill.



Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov, 53, was promoted to deputy prime minister Tuesday after President Vladimir Putin signed a decree increasing the number of vice prime ministers in his cabinet to 11. Manturov will continue to serve as minister of trade after his appointment.
