Russian Generals Discussing Using Nukes In Ukraine

Russian generals have discussed the use of tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine, senior US intelligence officials claimed, without Russian President Vladimir Putin knowing anything about it, Anthony Blair reported for The Sun.

The discussions were monitored by US intelligence and they alarmed US President Joe Biden, the New York Times reported. Biden warned the Kremlin about the devastating consequences of Russia’s bloody folly.

Putin said Russia is not thinking about nuking Ukraine, but said it is the non-nuclear Ukraine that wants to use a “dirty bomb.” However, the Kremlin is preparing to activate 900 bomb shelters in the Moscow district alone. It also move its KillJoy nuke missiles to an area from where they could hit London.

Russian generals earlier fumed about Putin’s micromanaging the war despite his lack of military knowledge, along with his crony Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, who dons a military uniform despite his never having joined the Russian army.

John F Kirby, a National Security Council official, declined to comment on "the particulars" of the language used by Vlad's insiders but added: "We've been clear from the outset that Russia's comments about the potential use of nuclear weapons are deeply concerning, and we take them seriously. We continue to monitor this as best we can, and we see no indications that Russia is making preparations for such use."

The generals are believed to have spoken about when and how Moscow might use such a nuke, following a series of Russian setbacks on the battlefield. Russia has an arsenal of 6,000 nuclear warheads, about of third of which was returned by Ukraine on the assurance by Moscow that it would not attack Kyiv.

The promise stood since 1991 but was broken by Putin on Feb. 24, 2022. Those warheads could easily kill 300 million people.
