The S&P 500 is approaching 7,000 points, a remarkable milestone as big tech continues to push the US stock market to new highs, Forbes Daily reported.

The index ended Tuesday just 36 points short of the mark, just over a year after first reaching 6,000, even as analysts have warned that equity markets have outpaced real economic performance in recent years.
Meanwhile, Microsoft released details of a plan to ease concerns over its large-scale expansion of AI data centers.
The company said it would ask utility companies and regulators to set higher electricity rates for its facilities and pledged to reduce water usage.
