Samsung, LG Shares Jump Ahead of Nvidia CEO’s Korea Meetings

Shares of Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and other South Korean technology firms have rallied amid expectations of meetings between Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Korean executives, boosting optimism around artificial intelligence and robotics partnerships, Joyce Lee and Hyunjoo Jin reported for Reuters.

Samsung Electronics also gained support from data showing South Korea’s semiconductor exports reached a record high in May, fueled by growing AI demand.

Nvidia also plans to host a “Korean Partner Night” event on the sidelines of the Computex trade show in Taipei, attended by executives from Samsung, SK Hynix, and other technology firms.


Samsung shares climbed 10.1% to a record close, while LG Electronics surged by its daily trading limit for a second consecutive session. Internet giant Naver also rose sharply ahead of a scheduled executive meeting with Huang.
