The General Authority of Civil Aviation said the attacks targeted King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan, in southwestern Saudi Arabia, and Najran International Airport near the country's border with Yemen.
“The attacks resulted in three minor injuries and property damage,” the authority said in a statement posted on X.
The Iran-aligned Houthi movement claimed Monday that it had struck King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha International Airport in southwestern Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles.
Houthi military spokesperson Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree warned international airlines against continuing to operate flights in Saudi airspace, saying the group considered the airspace a theater for its military operations.
Saudi authorities did not confirm the Houthi claims concerning King Khalid and Abha airports in the statements cited in the reports.
