US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has criticized China and expressed disappointment with China's statement regarding the recent Hamas attack, as reported by the Associated Press (AP).

Schumer is leading a delegation of six senators in China this week. He urged the Chinese government to stand with the Israeli people and condemn the "cowardly and vicious attacks."
In a statement, Schumer conveyed his disappointment with China's statement, which called on both sides to exercise restraint and immediately cease hostilities but made no mention of the Hamas attack.
