Compressors, synchronous motors, variable speed drives, converter transformers, harmonic filters, and a plethora of powerhouses are all under Siemens Energy's remit as part of the primary refrigeration trains.

One part of the liquefaction process that creates the LNG that will be kept in tanks and subsequently transported to LNG ships for overseas transportation is the main refrigeration compressor trains.

At the location of the former pulp and paper mill, an ecologically friendly LNG complex will be constructed. It will employ clean, renewable hydroelectricity and be designed to process 2.1 million tonnes annually, cutting greenhouse gas emissions by more than 80%.

With this upgrade, the plant will join the ranks of the world's cleanest LNG export terminals. Exports to Asian economies that are currently driven by coal would also help with global decarbonization.

This includes things like using Siemens Energy's safe, efficient technology for the LNG refrigeration process to create the world's lowest-emission LNG export facility.

Project completion is anticipated in 2027, with commercial operations starting in September of that year. When finished, it will likely create over a hundred permanent, family-supporting positions.
