Sony To Launch New PlayStation 5 On November 10

Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. has announced that Japanese stores will start selling a new model of its highly popular PlayStation 5 game console in November.

This new model is physically smaller but features increased memory capacity, as reported by Kyodo News.
The PS5 console equipped with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive will be available for purchase on November 10, with a price tag of 66,980 yen ($450).
Additionally, the digital version, which lacks a disc drive and requires users to download games onto the console, will be priced at 59,980 yen, according to Sony Group Corp's gaming unit, as reported by Mainichi Japan.

Sony plans to discontinue the sales of the previous model once the existing stock is exhausted. The new model will also be available in overseas markets, including the US, starting in November.
