Stuttgart's main train station was flooded on Sunday, with water levels reaching up to 30 centimeters, police said, following severe weather affecting several regions, Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) reported on June 7, 2021.

Clogged drains partly contributed to the flooding, the police spokesperson said.

In Bavaria, roads flooded due to the heavy rainfall, causing car accidents and water-logged basements on Saturday.

The rainstorms also caused several car accidents on motorways in the eastern state of Thuringia.
