People hoping to enjoy a Christmas meal at Texas Roadhouse will be out of luck, as the company has decided to close all 736 of its locations on the holiday in 2025.

“Texas Roadhouse is closed on Christmas Day (December 25) at all locations to allow staff to celebrate with their families,” the company said on its official website, Effie Orfanides reported for Parade.

“However, most locations are open on Christmas Eve with reduced hours, typically from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Hours may vary by location, so it’s recommended to call your local restaurant to confirm exact Christmas Eve hours,” the company added.

Texas Roadhouse, which also closed on Thanksgiving Day, will reopen all locations on Dec. 26. According to Rolling Out, the decision gives more than 10,000 workers the holiday off.

The move is not new. Texas Roadhouse has closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas for years. While many chain restaurants remain open on both holidays, others — including LongHorn Steakhouse — also close to give employees time off.
