Tommy Hilfiger Returns To New York Fashion Week

For the first time in three years, Tommy Hilfiger will return to New York Fashion Week (NYFW) with a "See Now, Buy Now" Fall 2022 collection and an interactive runway event that will immerse spectators in the brand's new world, both in person and online.

New York City is a melting pot of people and cultures, a location where lo-fi and hi-tech collide, and a place where style and creativity meet. This is the inspiration for an interactive event that will take place on September 11 at 7 p.m. EDT.
The event will bring people together through spur-of-the-moment creative expression at an in-person showcase at Brooklyn's Skyline Drive-In and a parallel metaverse activation, both of which will be imbued with the spirit and raw grit of New York City, the origin of the TOMMY HILFIGER brand.
“My heart immediately went to New York’s iconic creative culture when I thought about where to launch our return to fashion week,” stated Tommy Hilfiger.
“This is where fashion, art, music and entertainment was all coming together when I first started out in the industry. And today, it is still this approach that inspires me to engage with the cutting-edge communities building new creative experiences. This season is all about the collision of my favorite archival inspirations with new live event concepts and virtual worlds. It’s the perfect expression of what we stand for as we pay homage to our roots with a return to NYFW,” Hilfiger explained.
The Fall 2022 TOMMY HILFIGER collection will be brought to life through creative multimedia brand activations in cities throughout the world, from New York and Paris to London and Chengdu.
The ‘phygital’ exhibit will be supplemented by new retail formats in select TOMMY HILFIGER locations and takeovers with major wholesale and pure player partners throughout the world.
TOMMY HILFIGER is known for putting a modern spin on preppy staples, and this season will see the introduction of several collaborations with international talent both on and off the runway.
It will be a first in the fashion industry when the "See Now, Buy Now" catwalk is broadcast live to Roblox's global community of over 50 million daily users, who will be joined by avatars decked out in Fall 2022 TOMMY HILFIGER styles and taking over the remixed virtual city of New York.
Tommy Hilfiger's "See Now, Buy Now" approach guarantees that any and all items shown on the actual runway will be available for purchase throughout the world, right away. This includes digital product exclusives on Roblox. Phases of the brand's expansion into the worldwide multiverse platform began in December 2021.
