In a recent report, Toyota said that Camry’s domestic sales only account for 1% of the car model’s total sales, which means the sedan sold only 210,000 units in the domestic market since it was introduced in 1980.
Toyota has notified Japanese dealerships that it will cease production of the Camry for domestic customers at the end of the year. Production will continue for exports, which account for 99% of sales.
