Toyota Motor Corporation said it will establish a dedicated assembly line in Taiwan to manufacture its Noah and Voxy minivans for export to Japan beginning in October, according to Kyodo News.

The move is intended to shorten delivery times for the popular vehicles, which are currently produced by a Toyota subsidiary in Aichi Prefecture.
Toyota said the Taiwan plant, which also manufactures Corolla models, produced about 120,000 vehicles during fiscal 2025.
Earlier this year, Toyota began selling US-built Tundra pickup trucks and Highlander SUVs in Tokyo. Other automakers have also expanded cross-border production strategies, including Suzuki Motor Corporation, which manufactures its Fronx SUV in India.
