Donald Trump is ineligible to hold office again, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled, disqualifying him from the state’s primary ballot.

It’s the first court to find that the disqualification clause of the 14th Amendment applies to Trump, in addition to affirming that he engaged in insurrection, the New York Times reported.
The court on Tuesday declared former president Donald Trump ineligible for the White House under the insurrection clause and removed him from the state’s presidential primary ballot, the Boston Globe also reported, earning applause from most Americans tired of the antics and fascist bent of the defeated president.
The decision from a court whose justices were all appointed by Democratic governors marks the first time in history that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate, Nicholas Riccardi reported for the Associated Press (AP).
“A majority of the court holds that Trump is disqualified from holding the office of president under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment,” the court wrote in its 4-3 decision, Jill Colvin also reported for AP.
