Trump Reverses Stand, Wants Seized Papers Returned To Him

After demanding that the documents seized by the FBI be disclosed to the public, defeated US President Donald Trump now wants that a special master be appointed by a US federal court to determine which documents should be returned him since they are covered by attorney-client privilege, The Independent disclosed.

However, an FBI “filter team” of agents not working on the case is already reviewing the documents for exactly this purpose under the supervision of a prosecutor.

A report from the New York Times revealed that 300-odd classified documents have been recovered from Trump since he left the White House, including more than 150 handed over in January. These 150 papers, the National Archives and Records Administration said, were classified documents.

The so-called congressional “gang of eight” – the House speaker and minority leader, the Senate majority and minority leaders, and the chairs and ranking members of the House and Senate intelligence committees – has reportedly inquired about gaining access to the boxes of documents retrieved during the August 8 raid.

This the Atlantic, Reuters, and Washington Post reported, would further complicate Trump’s legal troubles.
