Former President Donald Trump has expressed his desire to debate President Joe Biden ahead of the November general election.

In a radio interview on "The Dan Bongino Show," Trump emphasized the importance of debating for the good of the country, as reported by Rebecca Shabad and Emma Barnett for Biden responded to Trump's comments during a stop in Nevada, stating, "Well, if I were him, I’d want to debate me, too. He’s got nothing else to do."

Trump's former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, a major GOP opponent, seized on his debate comments, stating that her campaign is "thrilled" that he has "finally acknowledged the importance of debates."
