An Arizona ammunitions company this week announced that it will send one million bullets to Ukraine following calls from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for more ammunition, Cameron Jenkins reported for The Hill on late on Mar. 5, 2022.

The company, AMMO, Inc., said that it will send the bullets without requesting payment in return, according to a local Fox News station. "First of all, I believe in the Second Amendment. I also believe in freedom and democracy," AMMO, Inc.'s CEO, Fred Wagenhals, told Fox 10 Phoenix.
Wagenhals previously built his fortune through NASCAR and later made the switch to producing guns, ammunition, and other components of the weapons, the news outlet noted. NASCAR Hall of Fame team owner Richard Childress reportedly reached out to Wagenhals, encouraging him to aid Ukraine.
"I think we should donate," Wagenhals said he told another executive, according to Fox 10. Childress also pledged to send bullets to Ukraine and it is not known if his commitment to ship 1-million rounds of ammunition is separate from Wagenhgals’s commitment. The 1-million bullet donation is worth about $700,000.
Remington Arms also added that it plans to send ammunition to the country, making the announcement in a tweet on Friday.
"We heard President Zelenskyy's call. Remington is sending 1-million rounds of ammo to Ukraine," the ammunition company wrote.
Since there are 82 million gun owners in America, other ammunition companies may as well collaborate to send 82 million rounds of 7.62 ammunition as contributions of the American people to the defense of Ukraine.
