The United States is poised to slap a 200% tariff on Russian-made aluminum, Bloomberg reported, citing sources privy to the information, with the announcement set within the week.

In Bern, Reuters reported that Switzerland could lift a ban on exports of Swiss weapons to war zones as there has been public revulsion over the Russian invasion of Ukraine and criticisms of the policy to deny the supply of Swiss-made ammunition and infantry fighting vehicles to Kyiv because of its strict neutrality.
Swiss public opinion wants to scupper such neutrality in the face of the genocide being conducted by Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ukraine.
Polish officials have urged Ukraine’s allies to finally decide on providing Kyiv with fighter jets during their Munich conference. Without F-16 fighters and long-range ATACMS missiles, Ukraine cannot launch counteroffensives and liberate the rest of its territory.
Meanwhile, Norway has also decided to provide some of its German-made Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine.
In a related development, Kyiv Independent quoted Ukrainian lawmaker David Arakhamia as saying the defense minister won't be fired this week. There will be no dismissals or appointments at the Defense Ministry this week, he said.
Ukraine's intelligence claimed that Russia was prepared to mobilize up to 500,000 troops for offensives in the Donbas and possibly in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia Oblast in spring and summer.
