The UK has committed £2.3 billion in military aid to Ukraine amid its ongoing war with Russia, Furvah Shah reported for The Independent.

The aid will help Ukraine defend against air attacks, fight on land, defend their shores, and be equipped for winter.
In a statement posted on Twitter, the UK Ministry of Defense said: “Our commitment to Ukraine remains steadfast and we will match or exceed last year’s military support in 2023.”
To show it means business, the UK is shipping at least 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine this week in response to the US decision to deploy 50 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) to Ukraine as well as Poland and Finland’s transporting Leopard tanks to Kyiv.
The move makes the UK the first Western power to supply Ukraine with main battle tanks.
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that the modern tanks were needed to "seize the moment" and to "push back Russian troops" in a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, James Kilner reported for The Telegraph.
