UK FIRM CREATES $156,500 LUXURY CAR OUT OF LONDON’S ICONIC BLACK CAB

A British company has come up with a limited-edition luxury London taxi cab complete with its own PlayStation 4 games console, a refrigerator and a sumptuous leather interior, Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa) reported. 

The Sutton VIP Class hybrid LEVC TX taxi is one of the most luxurious taxis ever made and is ideal for the well-heeled who want to flit about town without flaunting their wealth. It will carry a price tag of 120,000 pounds ($156,500) for private buyers. 

Announcing the cab in October, Sutton Bespoke said it decided to put the cab into production after a positive response on social media to a pilot vehicle. That model has since been snapped up by a customer. 

In standard trim, the traditional black taxi is a common sight on city streets, but the likes of cooled drinks and gaming during the ride is a far cry from today's everyday reality. Younger riders in this elite cab, which has yet to join the fleet of any taxi companies, will likely appreciate the stereo system with Bluetooth connectivity and the chance to watch Apple TV. The on-board PlayStation 4 games console also helps while away the time on dreary journeys. Creature comforts inside the reworked hackney carriage include rear seats angled for comfort and trimmed in fancy Sandalwood leather with Alcantara trim.
