Ukraine Claims Killing 420 Russian Troops, Downing 6 Choppers

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) claimed to have killed 420 Russian troops and destroyed six helicopters and six tanks in engagements, Stanislav Pohorilov reported for Ukrainska Pravda, thus bringing the total Russian fatalities to 63,800 since Feb. 24, 2022.

Pohorilov reported that the 420 Russian fatalities represent one of the highest figures notched by Ukrainian forces since Russia invaded the country. He added that the highest Russian losses were inflicted in the Kramatorsk and Kryvyi Rih fronts.
Yesterday, Ukraine also destroyed six tanks, bringing the total to 2,511, and 11 armored combat vehicles were also knocked down, raising the number to 5,167.
Seventeen artillery systems were also taken out, increasing the Russian losses to 1,556. Two multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS) were wrecked, pushing the number to 357.
By destroying six helicopters in one day, Ukraine's defenders have downed 240 helicopters, along with 183 air defense systems and 268 fixed-wing aircraft. Thirty-three operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were downed, 316 cruise missiles were destroyed and 140 special vehicles were decommissioned.
Nine vehicles and tankers were burned, bringing the total to 3,935. Russia also lost 16 boats since Feb. 24, 2022.
