Ukraine Receives More Weapons vs Russian Invasion

The recent visit of US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan to Kyiv practically confirms that more weapons will be en route to Ukraine.

Sullivan met with Ukrainian President’s Office head Andriy Yermak and discussed continued U.S. support to Ukraine in the “fight for its freedom and independence against the Russian invaders,” Kyiv Independent reported.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has thanked the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and the US for their joint decision to provide 90 T-72 tanks to Ukraine.

The first 26 repaired and modernized tanks will arrive within the next month, Kuleba said, and added that Bulgaria will also provide defense assistance to Ukraine. Kyiv has already received the first batch of armored vehicles from Greece.

After their meeting in Kyiv on Nov. 3, President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou for the first batch of BMP-1 fighting vehicles. According to Sakellaropoulou, Greece has been on Ukraine's side from day one.

"We support your determination to protect your territorial integrity and will support you as long as necessary," she said.

In another Russian war crime, the Financial Times reported that collaborators publicly hanged a 56-year-old nurse in Skadovsk, Kherson Oblast, for speaking out against Russia. The pro-Russian collaborators snatched Tetiana Mudrenko, trussed her up and hanged her in Skadovsk.

Ukraine condemned the summary execution of Mudrenko as reported by her sister and other witnesses. Mudrenko was executed after she denounced police officers for collaborating with Russia and cried out: "Skadovsk is Ukraine!"
