Ukraine Receives Weapons Worth Billions, Power Generators

Slovenian Defense Minister Marjan Šarec said his government sent 35 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine following a NATO defense ministers meeting in Brussels on June 16, according to Slovenian media outlet RTVSLO.

According to the German newspaper Bild, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that his country will continue to provide financial and humanitarian aid, as well as weapons, to Ukraine for as long as it is necessary to defend Ukraine's independence.
Slovakia also provided Ukraine with five helicopters and ammunition for Grad multiple rocket launchers. Ukraine Daily reported late on June 17, 2022 that Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nad stated that the Mi-17 and Mi-2 helicopters delivered by Slovakia are already in operation by Ukraine's armed forces.
Six more Caesar self-propelled howitzers were deployed to Ukraine during French President Emmanuel Macron's June 16 visit to Kyiv, bringing the total number of howitzers in operation on the front line to 12.
British Defense Minister Ben Wallace told Sky News that the UK will provide 20 more 155-millimeter M109 howitzers to Kyiv to bolster Ukrainian defenses. Russian artillery guns outweigh Ukraine's 20 to one, according to Wallace.
Farid Safarov, Ukraine's Deputy Energy Minister, said Kyiv has received 300 generators from Europe for 33 energy companies charged with restoring power around the country. Safarov also called on businesses to help Ukraine repair its electrical infrastructure.
Coca-Cola, on the other hand, has announced that it is exiting the Russian market and is depleting its stock before discontinuing production and sales of Coca-Cola and other brands in the nation.
