Ukraine's Naftogaz Seeks Deferred Debt Payments Until July 2024

Naftogaz, the state-owned oil and gas corporation of Ukraine, has asked its creditors to suspend debt payments until July 2024, citing the fact that Russia's all-out war against Ukraine has left them cash-strapped due to unpaid customer invoices, the Kyiv Independent reported.

Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Russian-occupied Mariupol has released a video depicting the Satellite sunflower oil refinery on fire. According to him, Mariupol's resistance is intensifying and causing huge losses among Russian troops and equipment.


Since February 24th, Ukraine has reported that Russia has lost 37,870 servicemen in Ukraine.



As of July 14, Ukraine's General Staff said that Russia had also lost 1,667 tanks, 3,852 armored fighting vehicles, 840 artillery systems, 247 multiple launch rocket systems, 109 air defense systems, 188 helicopters, 219 airplanes, 690 drones, and 15 vessels.


German Labor Minister Hubertus Heil announced that his government will allocate an additional 2,4 billion euros in social benefits for Ukrainian refugees residing in Germany. He noted that around 800,000 Ukrainians have already obtained shelter in Germany, 30 percent of them are under 14 years old.

A spokesman for the German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall stated that 30 Marder infantry fighting vehicles are undergoing modernization in preparation for their exchange with multiple nations.


As part of the exchange program, Rheinmetall can raise the number of Marders to 100 without difficulty.

The objective is to hand over the vehicles to other nations, which may subsequently provide Ukraine with their own weaponry under an agreement with Germany, according to the spokesman.


Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger stated that the German government would soon approve the planned sales of Marder vehicles.
