Ukrainians Regain Territory From Russians In Sievierodonetsk

A Ukrainian counteroffensive in Sievierodonetsk has decreased Russian control of the city from 70% to 50%, according to the Kyiv military, and Russian troops have sustained serious casualties in the conflict.

According to Reuters, photographer Alexander Ermochenko and cameraman Pavel Klimov were injured when their vehicle came under fire while en route to Sievierodonetsk on a Russian-controlled road.


The driver was fatally injured. During the battle in Ukraine, a French citizen was also slain.



According to police director Andriy Nebytov, 1,314 civilians have died in Kyiv Oblast. Since February 24, Russia has killed 95 civilians in Kyiv, including four children. Russia has launched tens of missiles against Kyiv, according to the Kyiv civil military administration, 28 of which have impacted the Ukrainian capital.


Authorities in Kyiv claimed on June 3 that Russia had destroyed 233 residential buildings, 36 residences, 46 schools, and 29 kindergartens.

Since the beginning of the conflict, Russia has lost 30,950 troops in Ukraine, according to Ukraine's military.


Russia also lost 1,367 tanks, 3,366 armored vehicles, 2,329 vehicles and fuel tanks, 661 artillery pieces, 207 multiple launch rocket systems, 95 air defense systems, 175 helicopters, 210 airplanes, 535 drones, and 13 watercraft, according to the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
