College seniors are on edge about landing their first post-graduation job, especially after some of the biggest American employers including Amazon.com and Microsoft have been cutting jobs, the Wall Street Journal reported.

In December 2021, it was 2.3%. College seniors gravitated to tech giants in recent years, but the sector has seen nearly 150,000 job cuts in 2023, Janet H. Cho reported for Barron’s Daily.
Amazon has postponed start dates for some 2023 graduates it hired by up to six months, the Journal reported.
According to recruiting-software firm iCIMS, nearly all 1,000 college seniors surveyed in March have considered applying to graduate school, taking gig work, or seeking a job outside their major.
