The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) stated that the magnetic balls, 5 millimeters in diameter, exceed federal standards for magnetic strength and could pose a hazard if swallowed by children.

The CPSC highlighted the risk of ingested magnets clumping together to cause blockages or perforations in the digestive system, potentially leading to severe complications or death.

The kits were sold on Walmart.com by Joybuy Marketplace Express, a unit of Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com, and have been removed from the website.
