Footage has emerged of the two eco vandals approaching the Kaos and beginning to spray paint over it, as staff on board run out and attempt to wash it off with water.
After they defaced the superyacht, which belongs to the Walmart heiress who has an estimated $7.7-billion fortune, the protesters are seen holding up a sign saying “You Consume, Others Suffer,” Periodico de Ibiza also reported.
The stunt continues a summer of outlandish protests staged by eco-activists including disrupting major sporting and cultural events and spray painting a private jet in Ibiza two days earlier. The superyacht was launched by Oceanco.
The vandals used fire extinguishers to spray paint across one end of the £241 million yacht. A crewmember from a yacht nearby Kaos told MailOnline the damage to the vessel will likely cost its owner millions and slammed the useless port security.
The superyacht which sails under the Jamaican flag, is 360 feet long and weighs 4,523 tons. It was built in the Netherlands in 2017 and was previously known under the name “Jubilee.”
In 2020, Nancy Walton Laurie had her superyacht refitted and redesigned by British designer Reymond Langton, according to the Yachtbible. “Kaos” has four decks and can house 31 guests in 16 cabins as well as 45 crew members in 24 cabins. There are four VIP suites, while most of the standard suites come with en suite bathrooms.
