Workers At Dutch Chip Maker NXP To Go On Strike

Dutch employees of chipmaker NXP Semiconductors will go on strike on March 12 to demand higher pay, the union FNV said, Bart Meijer reported for Reuters.

Workers at NXP's factory in Nijmegen, eastern Netherlands, will strike for 24 hours, the FNV said, while actions at other sites might follow if NXP fails to meet workers' demands.

The employees are demanding a 9% wage increase and a bonus, while the company is offering only a 2.5% raise, FNV said.
